TANGGapp is looking for an analytically driven and self-starting Head of Marketing who is excited about applying their expertise to growing our users in fun and creative ways. You will use data to move key metrics of the business, build partnerships in both the US and Philippines, and explore new avenues for growth.
You’ll be reporting directly to the Founder and CEO of TANGGapp and be part of a small yet nimble team. This means taking full ownership of projects and initiatives, managing multiple work streams, and wearing different hats across brand, product led growth, digital marketing, new market strategy, customer success, and data analytics - with the overall goal of propelling our volume.
Who We Are
TANGGapp is an international peer-to-peer mobile payment app and aims to be the international ‘Venmo’ across the seas for the 1.5 billion unbanked globally and migrant workers, starting with the Philippines. After more than 55x growth since launching remittances with limited ad spend, the company is entering an exciting growth phase and is ready to add fuel to this rocket.
Rebecca Kersch, the founder of TANGGapp, started the company in 2020 because of her personal connection to the challenges that migrant workers and their unbanked Filipino relatives face, when it comes to sending and receiving money. Her tita baby was a Filipina migrant worker and as such, Rebecca personally felt a need to improve the way money can be sent, but also help provide more financial access for the receiving relatives. The Philippines is TANGGapp’s first market, but the potential is global. As such, TANGGapp’s vision is to be the number 1 international peer-to-peer payment app, where sending money should be as easy as texting, regardless of where you live, what you earn, and how much you want to send.
Since founding TANGGapp, Rebecca has received multiple awards and accolades for her work with the startup. She and TANGGapp were recently selected for Forbes Asia’s 100 To Watch List 2023
. In addition to being Harvard founded and backed with Harvard grants, TANGGapp’s investors include leading VCs in both the US and the PH. The startup is well-funded to fuel its exciting growth.
We’re a global and remote-first team of self-starters and independent thinkers that wants to change the way global payments work by first making it easy, fast, and convenient to send money to the Philippines. We have an open-minded and inclusive culture with a diverse international team who come from all sorts of backgrounds and stages of life. We champion diversity and inclusion. We are a meritocracy, where the best ideas win no matter where they come from. The team is partly based in the US as well as in the Philippines and India.
